Synopsis: AN EXPLORATION OF FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENTS IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA AND THEIR PENETRATION IN BANKING:

This study explores FinTech advancements in Sub-Saharan Africa and their penetration in the banking sector, with a focus on the Ejura Sekyedumase Municipal District in the Ashanti Region. The research identifies common financial technologies, examines their impact on banking, and assesses adoption challenges. Using a descriptive design and quantitative approach, data from 169 farmers will be analysed with SPSS software. The study employs Saunders' research onion model, interpretivism philosophy, and inductive approach to develop a comprehensive understanding of FinTech in the region.
